Anyone providing CPR or AED car to a victim should NOT be worried about breaking ribs.
Infant CPR should be provided FIRST then you should go get help if your alone.
The "Good Samaritan" Law is provided to help protect rescuers voluntarily helping a victim in distress from being successfully sued in tort (i.e. for wrongdoing).
Some AED's will help walk a rescuer perform the steps of CPR.
If you see a victim collapse, go get help (AED) immediately.
